Nepal 2009 - Update One
Here is Update One from the 2009 Nepal Mission Trip. ~~~ October 24, 2009 Greetings from Kathmandu! We have arrived safely. Our team is rested, energized, and ready to begin our journey to the West. Yesterday, after checking into the Yak and Yeti Hotel, we went to one of the most famous Hindu and Buddhist sites- Monkey Temple. Collectively, the team was struck by the fact that the people here are worshiping gods that can neither hear, see, or speak. As we came together as a team, we prayed and shared the gospel of the true and living God who CAN hear them, and CAN see them, and CAN speak to them. During the day, the Lord opened up many opportunities for the gospel to be preached, which is the ultimate goal of the two week trip. (George Thai's ultimate goal is not to be attacked by a monkey again.) Please pray that God would continue to unite our team as we head out to the West. We will be able to greet our local brothers and sisters in just a few short hours. Our conference officially begins tomorrow morning, and we also ask for your prayers as we teach the Word. We treasure your prayers and are grateful for all of you who are uniting with us in the preaching of the gospel. We already have a sense of awe in anticipation that many signs and wonders will be taking place over the next few days. To Him be all the glory. Till the last one hears, 2009 Nepal Team ~~~
